This lovely community hall is located at 3554 Highway 215 in Centre Burlington, Nova Scotia on the section of the scenic Glooscap Trail that runs along the Avon River and Minas Basin from Windsor to Truro.
The Centre was built in 1885 as a two room schoolhouse but now serves as a meeting place for residents of Burlington and surrounding district. The building is cared for by local community members and the Burlington & District Activity Club Hants County registered charity. Proceeds collected at events are used to upgrade and maintain this historic building and to support local charitable activities.
The large hall space has been recently painted so the stage really stands out and looks so inviting for performers. The building‘s environment is controlled by heat pumps making it very comfortable year round.
