The Jackson & Wirchenko duo will be returning for the 2023 running of the Meadowview Farm Music Series. Jackson has been a mainstay in the Nova Scotia music scene for the past 30 years as a singer, song writer, saxophone player, guitarist, percussionist, music educator and band leader.
The Jackson & Wirchenko duo perform Shirley Jackson originals with her son on acoustic bass with a blend of traditional Blues, Roots, Folk and Country. Jackson is the recipient of two Maple Blues Awards for Horn Player (2018, 2001) and she has produced four albums that were each nominated for Blues Recording of the Year by the East Coast Music Association, and the Nova Scotia Music Awards with her band Shirley Jackson & Her Good Rockin' Daddys.
Jackson has been recognized in the top ten finalists in the World Music Awards for her compositions, River of Dust, Over A Lifetime and Stir It Up.
