Getting to Centre Burlington

From the Irving service station near the Highway 102 overpass, take Highway 236 west towards Windsor. This is the scenic Glooscap Trail with Cobequid Bay on your right. The road will bend south to the bridge that crosses the Shubenacadie River at South Maitland. After crossing the bridge, take Highway 215 on the right to Maitland all the way to Walton. Don’t pay attention to the civic address signs because you are in East Hants. Once you cross the Walton River bridge in Walton, you will be in West Hants and the civic addresses are correct all the way to the Centre Burlington Community Hall in Centre Burlington.

From Kentville and Wolfville take Highway 101 to Windsor and turn off at Exit 5. Go left at the bottom of the exit ramp heading under the overpass and into the community of Gypsum Mines. This is Highway 14. You will be headed towards Brooklyn. After crossing the St. Croix River bridge with the beautiful gypsum cliffs on the right, turn left on Avondale Road at Hill Top Hops microbrewery. You will pass over the Meander River Bridge and into the community of Mantua (pronounced Man-away by the residents). You will come to a T-intersection where you turn right onto Lawrence Road. You will eventually see a set of three brown highway signs (easy to miss) with three options: 215 East, 236 East and 215 West. Turn left onto 215 East and you can follow the civic address signs right to the Centre Burlington Community Hall in Centre Burlington.

From the South Shore you can take Highway 14 at the Chester exit on Highway 103. Highway 14 takes you all the way north to Martoc ski hills, then an intersection with Highway 1 in Curry’s Corner. Turn right towards Garlands Crossing then another left at the Irving. you are still on Highway 14 and headed for Exit 5 on Highway 101. Go under the overpass and you are in Gypsum Mines. The rest of the way is as described above in the Kentville paragraph.

Driving from HRM take Highway 101 towards Windsor. Get off at Exit 5 and go right towards Brooklyn. This is Highway 14 and again, follow the directions above in the Kentville paragraph.
